Terrabox is a rugged edge data gateway for field monitoring and industrial sensing projects. It collects readings from mixed sensor networks, including Modbus and SDI-12 devices, stores data locally, and forwards telemetry into Nvirosense using reliable networking protocols when connectivity is available.

It sits between field hardware and the cloud: polling instruments, normalising readings, supervising drivers, recording timestamped data, and handing telemetry to the wider Nvirosense monitoring layer.

Offline-first field operation

Remote sites lose internet. Sensor records should not disappear with it.

Terrabox keeps collecting readings locally when uplinks are intermittent. Its local buffer protects timestamped sensor data during outages, then allows telemetry to be published onward when connectivity returns.
